Learning Support Coordinator, Fixed term 2 years

We are seeking an experienced registered teacher to join our kura as a Learning Support Coordinator focused on ensuring learners with additional needs receive the right support at the right time.  This is an exciting opportunity to join our forward-thinking school as we proactively respond to roll growth and the new curriculum, embedding our curriculum design criteria and effective teaching model to ensure every learner and teacher thrives. 

Our kura is committed to knowing and growing every learner. Working alongside our SENCO and Learning Support Team, you will help identify learner needs early, coordinate responsive support and strengthen inclusive practice across the College. 

You will support our teachers with evidence-based strategies, contribute to individual learning plans and effective transitions, and ensure learner information is current and used purposefully. You will also build strong partnerships with learners, parents and whānau, Ministry teams, specialist services and community agencies.

We are looking for a collaborative and influential practitioner with successful experience supporting diverse learning needs. You will bring excellent relationship-building and organisational skills, sound professional judgement, culturally responsive practice and the ability to strengthen teacher confidence and capability.

This role is focussed in our Junior and/or Middle Schools and also has a teaching component. Release time to be discussed. The role allocation may be split between two people.  Please state your teaching preference and subject expertise.
