Teacher of Music
We are looking for a dynamic, passionate and skilled Music teacher to join our fun, professional and dedicated Performing Arts Faculty. We need someone who has the ability to develop quality programmes to increase learner involvement and connect with, inspire, and engage our learners in their musical interests and aspirations. Experience in teaching classroom music across a range of year levels and styles - including experience in all three levels of NCEA - would be an advantage. A commitment to enhancing our co - curricular activities is also essential. Please also indicate other supporting subjects. Beginning teachers are welcome to apply.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- A strong understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum in Music including NCEA
- Enthusiasm for contributing to and developing co-curricular ensembles and performance opportunities
- The ability to connect with and inspire a diverse range of learners
- A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and inclusive education practices
- Willingness to work collaboratively within the performing arts team
