Head Caretaker
Whangaparāoa College is located 35 minutes north of the Auckland Harbour Bridge on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast with a school roll of nearly 2000 learners from Y7 to Y13. The college has outstanding facilities, a committed and talented staff, and a focus on learner achievement.
We are seeking a full time person to lead our property maintenance team, commencing as soon as possible. Hours are from 7.00am – 3.30pm, or 7.30 – 4.00pm, 5 days per week.
The position requires a proactive, energetic and reliable person who is able to work alongside staff, students and contractors in a busy school environment. Experience and knowledge of maintaining buildings, grounds and equipment, and the ability to identify hazards and carry out a range of maintenance duties is essential. A good level of fitness and some lifting is required. The school provides strong support for staff hauora.
